Education and Early Career
Adrien Brody was born on April 14, 1973, in Queens, New York, to a photographer mother and a history professor and painter father. His father was a Polish Jew, and his mother, a Catholic from Hungary, was the daughter of a Hungarian Catholic aristocrat and a Czech Jew. As a child, Brody took acting classes and appeared in plays. He later attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. He studied at SUNY Stony Brook before transferring to Queens College, where he completed only one semester.
